IMPORTANT FACTS ABOUT AN AFRICAN

       By Eburuche, O. C. Banito

We are surely highly passionate about growing people of character and capacity to transform Africa, and we realize that there is no way we can realize this mandate without the right approach. From my critical findings on building the Africa of our dreams, we came up with this list of little facts about an African. Number One (1) will blow your mind.

1. We have a genetic heritage of me, myself, and I, which has not done any good to the African economy right from the grassroots. Everyone wants to show that he/she is the best, leaving many with perpetual struggle and untold hardship. ... We need to change this mindset and this gene of Standalone.

2. The satisfaction of self-benefits remains the primary motivating force for most Africans. We can let a whole nation perish if we perceive that helping them live will produce no immediate benefit for us.

3. A good majority of Africans are not givers, and that's why the continent remains the most blessed but the poorest among nations. Instead of offering help, which could benefit more people, we prefer to keep to ourselves.

4. The educational curriculum for Africans is not for independence and freedom but for dependence and slavery. We are trapped by certifications, titles, and paychecks, which do not make any difference towards the transformation of the economy. The true education is that which helps us discover who we truly are, draws us to the power of our discovered personality, and channels it towards the growth of humanity.

5. A typical African has little or no regard for environmental safety. That's why we keep suffering from environmental challenges, and if Africans do not take caution towards protecting the environment, we will yet face untold terrors with time to come.

Let us forget self and unite to make Africa better.

Lead Africa Foundation is not just a foundation or organization. It is a REVOLUTION.
