Isn't it quite interesting that the month just ended was tagged the month of #assurance? Many of us felt they were "assurred" for the favour they received: some got private jets, some got the latest car in town, some got married and while quite a number got befitting burials. Do all these favoures evidence of 'lasting' assurance?
An assurance is something that should be lasting and sustaining. It should be something so remarkable that should give us hope, confidence and determination.
Through times and generation past, nothing has been assuring like having the fullness of God's spirit. It gives enduring joy and lasting peace that the world will never know.
I don't know the kind of dryness or set back you may be going through in your life, but all of your troubles and set backs can be taken care of if only you would take my words into heart.
Be you a politician, civilian, soilder, pilot or business owner, without putting your ego aside and humbling yourself before God, you are only walking on a slippery ground; sooner or later you will see yourself rolling down despite all your "accolades" and "assurances" puffing you up.
In case you don't know, Christ Jesus died for us, particularly for me. He is my lasting assurance for the month past and my joys yet to come. Make him your assurance today and I bet you, your life will never remain the same.
Your peace of mind is priceless, do not toil with it. You need not defend yourself on social media when you are celebrated in the public for Christ sake. The EFCC would not need to harass you if God is your assurance.
